Finally wrapping Christmas presents tonight. I'm usually very organised and have this job done by February having done all my Christmas shopping in the January sales. Then I can be smug for months when everyone is getting totally stressed out!
But I got sick of tripping over sackfuls of pressies for 10 months so have decided to give up the smugness this year.
So sat in front of the fire on a cold cold night wrapping stacks of gifts as fast as I can. There are no works of art being created here. Tearing Sellotape and sticking on a gift tag is as arty as it gets. My sister presents us with stunningly created masterpieces every year but then she doesn't have to work full time - so we expect no less and are never disappointed. Steve is just happy I'm getting on with all this and Christmas will just magically happen without him lifting a finger. It's mostly a woman thing for sure.
I am being watched over in my task by these two. Strange characters with no names yet which I inherited from my Dad. He had a strange penchant for picking up weird and wonderful things (some not so wonderful) on his travels. Can't bring myself to part with them though and I love their quirkiness! And they are keeping me company whilst I finish tonight's mission - then I reckon I will have earned a glass or two.
