Energy efficient flights?

So, today was our last day in Germany this year :-(

We had a good morning - did a few bits in the flat then went to the airport for lunch before our flight. This was the only time I fell foul of Germany's anti-vegetarian policy - they'd put ham in the sodding cabbage!

This poster caught my eye as we were boarding the flight - very interesting statistics, and a good reminder that we only fly every other year. Next year we drive.
