No one.

1. No one has cleared the front steps as I head out, slip, turn round and come straight back up for the wellies, don't know what I was thinking going out without them. I don't have anything that will improve the step situation other than a wee jar of rock salt which I don't think is going to make a dent in things. But, by the time I get home someone has been out with the shovel.

2. No one thing tips me over, something does though and all I can do to make it through the day is stick some music on and fill my head with good noise.

3. No one ever tells you that sometimes sadness catches up with you, no matter how hard you try to evade it and when you least expect it, it's there. No one tells you that, you find these things out for yourself.

4. And before you know it, there you are crying on the 18.50 Neilston train, surrounded by people but no one to turn to other than your own reflection in the dark window, sure that if you pull your hat down and your scarf up no one will notice.

5. No one says a thing.
