Rip-off

I was reading a book last night and in it I saw an image pretty much like this.

I liked it and given it is mostly rainy today I thought I'd give it a go.

I must admit, I did post-process a tad. The authors of the book would have frowned upon that. They don't seem to think it's permissible.
