Our tallest problem
A few months ago we applied to the council to have this Wellingtonia in a corner of our garden felled. Worried about branches falling on people or property - especially a neighbour's car. An "impartial" assessor was due to come today and climb it and report. As it was snowing this morning I was half expecting yet another delay. But turn up he did and fortunately there was a period of nice bright weather. He climbed right up. I'm a bit shy of asking people if I can take a picture, and after all this man isn't being paid to model. He climbed right to the top but in this sneaky shot you can only just make him out in the lower branches. We'll get his formal report eventually but I've a feeling felling is not on the menu.
