Holy lunch venue

Met my daughter in York and after a quick look around we made for our usual lunch spot. This church stands in Spurriergate and has been converted to a cafe whilst still retaining it's church connections. It is run by volunteers and apart from food there are books and cards for sale and a facility for prayer if needed. What more can you ask? The food is excellent and very good value. The ambience inside is really lovely and it is always busy. A great way to use this magnificent old building and bring people inside! Another recommendation from Mm if ever you are in York.
At the end of the afternoon I drove us both down to Mickleover to continue the visit for another night.
