The damage water can do ...

... why did we choose a wooden floor?! Have been wondering why we have a raised bit of flooring in the kitchen so got down on the floor to have a better look. Finally realised that two sections of wooden floor just under the fridge/freezer are bowed and pushing other 'planks' out of place - arrgghhh!

Further investigation and we found water was leaking (albeit very slowly) from the valve at the back of the fridge/freezer. Must have been doing it for a couple of weeks and we hadn't realised. Now the valve is properly tightened (don't ask!!) we need to work out how to get the bowed wood out and replace it - something tells us it isn't going to be as easy as we'd like it to be.

Oh well, you live and learn. The week can only get better.......
