By this point, F was getting a little fed up with my constant running around after birds, but he stopped me to take a shot of this blue jay. I wouldn't have spotted him otherwise, simply because he was right under my nose. I wasn't expecting him to be there!

We headed inland, walking around Walden Pond and driving out into the forests.
