Brisbane City
This is taken from the 6th Floor outside the St Laurence School Theatre on the south side of the Brisbane River looking towards the city.
If you look at in large you can see three of the 16 major bridges that cross the river in Brisbane. Just back to the right of the building in the foreground is the Goodwill Bridge, for pedestrians and cyclists, which connects South Bank to the city at Gardens Point. On the skyline, background right, near the red and white cranes, is the Story Bridge. Over on the far left behind the Ferris Wheel is the Kurilpa Bridge (the spikey one) also for pedestrians and cyclists, and also connecting South Bank to the city. This bridge has this year won the World Transport Building of the Year Award at the World Architecture Festival in Barcelona.
If you look closely you will also see the Riverside Expressway running along the edge of the river.
