BUDDY HOLLY?

This is quite a meaningful picture for Christchurch Residents following the 22 Feb Earthquake which killed 187 people. This is in the heart of the City at 88 Hereford Street of 'Shands Emporium' a very old wooden building which stood well whilst buildings around it toppled !!

The signage on the window is the indicator from the Rescue task force that the building has been checked onthe 24th at 7.30 in the morning.

Shands emporium was a sort of a secondhand store. I suspect the one looking at us is an old picture of Buddy Holly - but someone will put me right on that one.
