Duddingston Loch

Woke up this morning to snow, but it didn't lie for long. Went to Duddingston Loch which is near Holyrood Park. It was very cold and several of the birds were looking for food. We saw mallards, Canada geese, coots, moorhens, tufted ducks, swans, 2 cormorants and lots of gulls. Amusing to see a little black and white cat stalking the birds - too far away to be doing anything but just play. Then a rabbit appeared who scared the birds away!

Later went to the cinema to see The Big Year which was about 3 Birders trying to get the highest number of sightings in a year.
