Nativity In Edinburgh
I had never seen the Nativity scene in Edinburgh until today as we passed it on our way to (Sargent) choir practice in town. A gift to the people and churches in Edinburgh by Sir Tom and Lady Farmer in November 2003, it was sculpted by Tim Chalk and now stands on a corner of St Andrew Square.
While it is difficult to photograph the entire cast I was particularly drawn to the infant Jesus, beautifully sculpted as a new-born held tenderly against Mary's shoulder (better seen in large).
