Groundhog Day

Today, and not yesterday (ha ha), was the Christmas fair for the Ronald McDonald House at Alder Hey Hospital. This place holds a very special place in my heart as it provided me with a home from home when my poorly boy was born and needed a life saving heart operation. I only stayed 11 days. Some people are there for months at a time. It is an amazing facility and completely funded by the charitable public. Returning to Mac House is a bittersweet experience as it always takes me back to the first time I was there. This is only the third or fourth time I've been back but I am thankful each time I am able to walk out with my healthy(ish!!) family. There are many who can't.
