Day 2

1. I like nothing more than a good hotel breakfast, and this is a good hotel breakfast - homemade plum jam, figs, honeycomb, it just goes on and on.

2. A bit like this coast. We find the beach and the promenade and blow our cobwebs away.

3. Byron got married here, you know. It didn't last, but they've named a few things after him.

4. We're not planning much more than reading this morning, which we do, basking in the sunshine by the pool. After lunch we resume those positions and by 3.30 (hottubo'clock) we're back outside, giggling.

5. Another dinner, another lovely evening brought to you by good red wine, a curry or two and complimentary toiletries.
