' Painting is another way of keeping a diary '

Found that quote in the title on on eof my many google journeys today, it's by Picasso and it kind of resonated with regards to blip and photography. When I started Blip, it was very much about it being a diary aswell as a dabble into art ( I may call it art, you may call it me messing around with an iphone ) , although I never put all the detail about what may or may have not gone on every day. I know when I look back on 2011 through Blip, it will be exactly the kind of thing I wanted to achieve, a little reminder system and a little celebration of every day. I am sure I will remember some days from this year very clearly like the crazy race and Erin's birthday and my birthday that lasted 6 weeks, but without blip. the rest of it would have gone into the annals of my 40 year old "think I may be approaching madness sooner than I think" mind.

It's coming up to the end of the year and Christmas is all around us. Me and the girls went to Salt's Mill today. Loads of beautiful candle displays and trees but as I know I will do loads of seasonal blips soon, I wanted to steer clear just yet, so this is one of the notebook stands in the bottom section of the mill. Do you know how long I had to wait for it to be free from people before I could take this! I kept getting shots of it with random strangers' feet in, so in the end I had to get on my tip toes and shoot it from a semi vertical angle.. subtle in a place where I am not entitely sure you are allowed to take photos anyway!

Went for milkshakes and wine after that ( not in the same glass ), Erin is much better, not 100% but much much better

Topped it all of with a ride on Shipley Glen tramway with a visit to Santa at the top.. the girls have come home and put the presents under the tree.without being asked, talk about self control!

A cold dreary day but glad we had some fresh air, christmas card writing on the agenda tonight.

Good old blip and good old Picasso... I assume he meant painting pictures and not staircases because if that's the case my blip write up is all wrong.
