Ok, this is a really bad photo.

We went to Inverness for the day, me, my daughter, her best friend and her mum, Juanita...one of the best mates a girl could have :)

Anyway...a fab day was had..we bought pressies in the vast metropolis of Inverness (well it is compared to where we are here!), and we saw the latest Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn. Fabulous!.

Then it was time to come home...we left town at about 9pm, it was raining. Then it started sleeting and by the time we left Helmsdale it was snow. When we got up onto the Ord a bunch of lads in their hire car had skidded and stopped....so we had to. Cue an hour on a lonely hillside, no phone reception hoping the gritter would come. It did eventually, witha police rangerover....after we'd seen a mini-bus slide down, then get up, then slide down again...and seen a huge articulated lorry slowly sliding down the hill towards us.

(There's a massive hill immediately on our left...a deep drop to the sea on the right)

This is a photo taken at nearly midnight, of the boys in front...they got out of their car every now and then....to take photos, to push.... to slide down the hill. Of course I'd left my camera at home.

We eventually got home at about 1-30am after a horrid drive for poor Juanita. She even negotiated Berriedale Braes with finesse.

I can honestly say she's one of the safest drivers Ive been with.

Wierd though...the lads in the car in front vanished after we saw them approaching Berriedale....hope they got to their destination safely!

(btw ..if you're interested we were where the marker is ...well on the road obviously here )
