In the Garden (X)

I'm sure you were all waiting for this one ... :)
Today 'X' is for Xeranthemum seeds being planted.
As you might recall, no thinking went into this idea of an alphabetical series. It was just one of the many brilliant ideas I come up with on the spot, hehe :)
But even with thinking and/or preparation I would not have been able to grow these in time to flower. But I will include them in my 'garden revisited' blips to come when they're in flower :) I'm sure you know them though. They make wonderful dried flowers since they have this papery texture which makes them feel/look like dried already. My grandma called them straw flowers, another name for them is Immortelle.

So what was In the Garden (W) again?
