Malcolm will be 10 years old tomorrow. Wow. 10 years ago I was frantically laying flooring then constructing the birth pool in the dining room. The house was a semi-detached in a new estate and the builder was made very - very - clear that we would be having our second baby in our second home. Our half of the house was ready to move into whilst the other half didn't have windows. The building site barriers ran down our garden. We had Malcolm the next day.
Fast-forward 10 years...
Grandpa and Grandma came up from Dumfries today to deliver presents and have a birthday lunch. It was great to see them and we all had a cosy time.
West Barns lights were turned on tonight, a beautiful evening for this annual community event. Katie, Gordon and I arrived home from the shops just in time to hustle everyone out for the big switch-on. Dotty and the boys had arrived whilst we were out so all 8 of us headed out, wrapped up warm and excited.
