Party, party
Friends for birthday celebration so the whole morning was spent tidying the pig sty of a house, including the corner cobwebs and tumble fluff under the sofas. We should have people round more often just to get the house cleaned.
The weans have been stuffing their faces with party food all day, first at their nephew's birthday party (weird to think of a four year old and eight year old being an uncle and aunt) and then here. The bedrooms are wrecked although the sitting room has stayed remarkably tidy. Ellen finally got to blow out the candle on her Hello Kitty cake. And even though they're late to bed they're still making excuses to stay up and angling for stories.
Someone must have mentioned my birthday. Now I've got more whisky, beer and wine to drink. It would be rude not to.
So, Paul Haig, whatever became of him? This was played a lot when I worked in Maestros
