Chippy

A few months ago we started to notice a crack appear on the wall beside the front door, initially we thought it was caused by a sticky front door, After fixing it I called my dad again and told him it was getting worse. Over he came and came to the conclusion that it was the wooden flooring that had been fitted with no float or room for expansion and it was actually moving the wall. So today we took a big strip out of the living room floor. Pretty amazing how much the floor moved to fill the gap. So hopefully the floor is not going to knock down the house now. And thank goodness for a dad who is a joiner to trade.
