the cat calendar

i bought this 26 years ago when my daughter, the mum of the twins, was two. it has been taken out & opened every year since. the pictures show a victorian family of cats going about their preparations for christmas and, most importantly, there is a little sentence about each picture on the inside of each door. we all particularly like number 7: the kittens sort out some of their toys for the poor.
number 24 opens the two big doors and all the activities on the inside of the house are shown.
my daughter has been searching the internet for an advent calendar with a story - i remember having one as a child which showed & told the christmas carol - but she wasn't able to find one, so i took this apart, had it copied in parts at a copy shop then laboriously put it all together again, 1 for her, 1 for her sister & 1 for my older grandchildren. i wonder if they will still be going 26 years from now?
