New Hat
Downbeat kinda day. Thinking too much about the job situation generally isn't a good way to start the day; then spending the sunniest bit of the day trawling round bathroom places. Ah well, at least I had a surprisingly easy call to Direct Line about an insurance issue that got sorted by a very very helpful chap on the other end of the phone.
But a walk round Holyrood Park to Nomad's Tent was therapeutic (playing spot the Kestrel en route, and also wound up in a present for my niece for Christmas; a new hat for Mel; and an Indian shirt for me.
And now, sitting with a glass of port, pondering life, the universe and everything.
Oh, and had a look at my new Windcheetah, which will likely have its wind and waterproofness tested to the limit tomorrow at Auchentoshan, photographing the Scottish Cyclocross Championships. Train at 9 with the designer of my citycycling covers. Should be good, and really must be sure to remember the flask of coffee...
