If you say Belgium, you say chocolate!

There are about 300 different Belgian chocolate companies that produce 172,000 tons of chocolate per year. There are also over 2,100 chocolate shops across Belgium. According to the International Cocoa Organization, Belgium ranks number two in the consumption of chocolate per capita, with Belgians enjoying an average of 11.03 kilograms per year!

This one of the Galler chocolate shops in Brussels. It is a family business that was founded in 1976 by Jean Galler and that has been the official supplier of the Belgian King since 1995. As a true Belgian he apparently likes his chocolate too! :)
