The Battis Family

22 words and counting

After someone commented that Connor says a lot more words than other kids his age, we tried to think of all the words he has said. These are the ones he says clearly and in context. We then consulted the internet for the average number of words a 13-14 month-old can say: just 1 to 3.

They say that teaching your little one how to sign not only helps to prevent temper tantrums by giving them a way to express their wants and needs before they can speak, babies who sign often have a larger spoken vocabulary than their peers as well. I guess now we have proof!
