Littlemouse Adventures

Give me your biscuits

Today was my birthday and I spent it cold but had a wonderful day at an antiques fair (my first one).

Well I was finally able to find a couple of nice fur stoles (didn't find a fox pelt one thought so still in the hunt). I also found a dressage top hat (that fit me) and some other bits.

I didn't find my converted muff, they seem like gold dust I only found 2 and of those the one that I liked wasn't the size that I wanted so the search continues (I am into steampunk, neo victorian and real Victorian).

Thinking I might have to get some more rabbit pelts and make myself one.

With regard to the fur - these are original vintage pieces and therefore the crime is to not appreciate them for their beauty and the craftsmanship.

I don't support the breeding and destruction of animals for just their fur.

And the modern rabbit pelts that I buy are ethically sourced and I buy from re-enactment fairs and suppliers.

There was also lots of vintage fabric - but need to get my studio properly sorted first.

Think we will be going back in the spring.

But for Mr Mouse I got him the WWI pistol holster that Ferd is modelling and a utility pouch again from WWI - I got a great deal and impressed my self with my bargaining skills.

Ferd on the other hand got lots of hugs and the nice man who we got the WWI bits from just as we were leaving was incidental our first stop and he shared his toasted sandwich with Ferd :)

There is more of Ferd here - http://www.blipfoto.com/entry/1566639
