Samson's Ribless

Ouch! My ribs have fallen off!

This is a lump of columnar basalt that at some point in the past has dropped off of Samson's Ribs (blipped by me a few months ago).

It now lies on the Innocent Pathway, just outside the tunnel exit and has been rather vandalised. It is just about possible to see the graffitti in the form of streaks of variously coloured paint.

I don't know how long it has been there but I hope there aren't any more lumps about to fall off!
