Winter morning sun

Up before the sun to walk with 'the girls' down through St Ives estate, across Altar Drive and into the woods leading to Ravenroyd and the River Aire.

This was taken just after we had spotted 3 dear - or at least seen their white rumps disappearing into the distance. The light on the valley was lovely and here you can see the sun coming through the trees just above the road by the river. Unfortunately the path across the fields and into the woods was very muddy. We certainly are suffering the effects of drought around here! At least no one fell in this time but the dogs were quite a mess especially the little Westie!

We continued through Bingley and Myrtle Park and then up Beckfoot Lane back to Harden. A great little walk - and this was the best of the day's sun as the morning became more cloudy with heavy showers. Snow on the way??
