Brrrrrrass Monkey Weather!!!
THIS was the scene that greeted me when I opened the front door this morning; neighbour's house bathed in an orange glow. It was freezing and the pavements, roads and our driveway were skating rinks!
Our driveway slopes upwards and Alison (Alan's escort to school) almost did the splits as she pushed him out to the school taxi! Her rubber soled shoes and the rubber wheels on the wheelchair had no grip whatsover and they were sliding all over the place. I was no help at all as I was busy doing a most important thing trying to get a shot of the sky before it changed. Very fetching standing there in my jeans and nightie, my wet hair wrapped in a towel!!! Neighbour opposite was getting in his car. He didn't even wave. Think I scare him slightly!! :-))
Lovely day so far. Picked best bud up at 11.30 and off to Dobbies in Stirling for a bit of birthday lunch (her birthday) and some Christmas shopping. I have bought enough "wee mindings" (ie stocking fillers for the non-Scots reading :-) to feel I can say I have actually begun my Christmas shopping! Yay!! Must get it all written onto my list otherwise I'll forget what I bought and who I bought for.
Lunch was lovely.....especially the scones the size of saucers filled with jam and cream. No calories in them either because they were birthday scones (that's our rule and we're sticking to it!!) Now looking forward to a leisurely Friday evening, dinner, glass of wine and might even think about writing my Christmas cards.....just think about it though :-)
Happy Friday Peeps and have a great weekend! :-)) xx
