Dusty alliums

Well, you wouldn't send a duck out in this weather!! We are awash - it's dark, wet, windy and chilly. And I've got a sore throat and a cough and general snottiness. A hasty rush around the house, camera in hand, produced this - the view out from my sitting room window through the dried allium heads (a bit dusty!) into the conservatory and the remains of the vine leaves.

Not much to report. We had our oil topped up before the budget on the 6th - apparently it's going to take 3 days to deliver it - as some wag has remarked, that's because it's in German!!! The tanker has left massive skid marks in the mud that is now our boreen. Himself braved Bantry and is preparing for a frenzy of nut roast making! For the first year ever, Ahakista is having a Christmas tree and tonight the lights are going on. It's currently tethered at the end of the pier - hope it makes it till 7.30!
