It's officially wear your old band t-shirt to work day, which is also a perfect blipping opportunity.

This t-shirt is almost exactly 20 years old. I bought it as a 14 year old when I went to see Teenage Fanclub and My Bloody Valentine together at the Barrowlands. One of my first ever gigs and still one of the finest I've ever seen. Teenage Fanclub were always my band and they played an absolute blinder (as they always do), but the power and energy of MBV was astonishing. I'd played my cassette of Loveless a few times before the gig, but afterwards I was truly hooked. The Fannies still have a special place in my heart, through frequent trips to see them I made countless friendships that have lasted a lifetime.

This t-shirt has a second life as well, it was worn to every exam I've ever sat. So I've always counted on it as a lucky garment. The power of Teenage Fanclub knows no bounds.

Here's something from the boys, not one of the big hits, but definitely one of my all time favourites - Gene Clark. The intro is a beast.
