A Fond Farewell To A Friend
Today was the absolute last day we were allowed to stay in the dorms, so of course me being me, I decided to avoid home as long as possible. My decision to stay was of course also largely influenced by my desire to spend as much time as I could with the soon to be graduates before doing so would not necessarily be so easy to do. Mother of course took FOREVER to get to Athens, significantly reducing my friend/say goodbye time, esp because she brought everyone and their brother (well besides my brother, ha) in the car with her, which didn't allow for enough room for my stuff. I won't go into that one further, because it makes me mad and I don't undersatnd. Anywho, eventually got to Jessie's after hauling some stuff to the new house (since it all wouldn't fit in the car) and taking a packing break. Fun time there. Left shortly after arriving and went with Shaun and Sara to plant a geocache at Stroud's in honor of Roots, Sara's rabbit that died last year. I'd say it was a good sort of closure activity for the end of the school year. Here's a pict. of the contents of the cache/Roots.
