Broken

I ripped apart this aftermarket battery for the Canon 30d. It doesn't register as "full" anymore, even after extensive charging. The charger does indicat it is full, and if I measure it, it seems to give a whopping 8.4 volts.

I didn't measure it under a form of load, but it is weird. It should be around 1400mAh //7.2V as advertised, but a) it seems to be 1250mAh inside. And b) how it gives off 8.4 volt is a real mystery to me.

Anyone know what to do?
