Balance, or, "There is a beauty....."

Thought I should provide some balance to yesterday's quote from Mark Twain.

At the Lowry, there is an exhibition of the works of the French impressionist painter Adolph Valette.

He painted some pretty damn good cityscapes of Manchester at the beginning of the 20th century.

It was he who said "There is a beauty in Manchester."

Today's blip has nothing to do with his paintings or beauty and is actually of the tram tracks at Salford Quays, just a few miles from Manchester, but I think you get the picture*.
