Waverton Pa
Actually, its Waverton Park. In the suburb of Waverton, which as you can see is pretty close to the city and the bridge. Curious about the "cerachty cate" did a quick google on it and found nothing obvious. Hmmm more searching I think.

Geraghty Gates
Labour and materials shortages in the postwar period impeded beautification works in the new park for several years after the dedication. Waverton Progress Association proposed improvements to the Park in 1947 consisting of entrance gates at the corner of Woolcott and Larkin Streets. Furthermore, that said gates should be named "Geraghty Gates"
in view of the activity and tenacity displayed by Mr Geraghty in securing this area for the Municipality in the face of many difficulties.
The ornamental stone structure was completed in 1948 and was described in the North Sydney Municipal Council Annual Report as:
a very ornamental design, consisting of two tall central piers with dwarf wing walls and crazy concrete work across the front. A pair of wrought iron gates are hung between the piers with overhead ornamental scroll incorporating the names "Geraghty Gates" and "Waverton Park".
The Geraghty Gates were officially opened on 21 November 1948, by the Hon. J.J. Cahill, MLA, Minister for Works and Local Government, in the presence of a large number of interested residents.
