Dark Ceiling

On my way to Tai chi class this morning, the sky in the west was so dramatic. Under a very black cloud, there was a ribbon of light with the snowy Olympic mountains filling up the strip. I tried to get a picture but I couldn't stop the car in a great spot and the dark and the light were hard to catch. (and I didn't want to be late!) When I got home just before noon, I took his from our roof deck. Yes, I've blipped this view before but not just like this. The light strip had accumulated some clouds too now and wasn't as clear as earlier but thought this HDR version gave the feel of the day. It never did rain.
