It is now December, and in my eyes, it is okay to start being Xmasy.
No more "Bah Humbugs"
Never mind saying , " Ah but should it not just be the 12 days of Xmas?"
Listen, that is just a song.
I had intended trying to do 12 blips on the subjects of the 12 days, but, I don't have any lords a leaping to hand, never mind 12.
I have pear tree though, and that will feature.
My intention is to have a seasonal blip for every day up to, and including Xmas day, and boxing day.
But this is me, and they won't all be straight up. Like today for instance.
By the way, as it is the season for shopping, so it is therefore time to say Bye, Bye to your cash as you Buy, Buy Buy.
The "real"meaning of Xmas is nothing directly to do with Christianity, it is they who have hijacked it. It is originally to go with the winter solstice. Then St. Nicholas, who was a Greek Monk in Turkey, gave gifts of cash, as Dowries to poor families. He is the patron saint of many things, including consumerism.
Jesus was not born in December at all, but either in January or October/November. And most likely 3 years before the time we think he was born. As we know Coca Cola invented the red Santa suit for an advert, changing it from green.
It is all about giving at this time of year, but not how much one spends on giving, but the thought behind it. If people are stupid enough to get taken in by it all to an extreme point, then that is their problem.
