The big blow out

A strange day today with so many folk out on strike. Every government agency I normally deal with was put on strike. Being part of the voluntary sector I wasn't part of the ballot but several hundred thousand in Scotland walked out of their public sector jobs today, marched & picketed.

This evening was all about my dad. It's his *cough* *cough* birthday and we all went to a local family run restaurant to celebrate. It was a lovely night with lots of laughs & good food - far too much food. Think I might not have to eat for a week.
