It was a long and varied day.

An early start saw us cash in on our scrap metal to the tune of around 85 bucks - looking like it could buy us the toilet and wash hand basin for the second bathroom we're planning with the bit we're lobbing off the kitchen - result! (and blips to follow)

A day of strike action for chef but a busy day at work for me where some are still coming down off the cloud of the launch last night.

After that there was plenty of virtuous cleaning, mopping, laundering and tidying and also a little bit of bill paying and Christmas birthday shopping for all the bloody December birthdays in my life.

All topped off by a tasty mexican feast - prepared by chef this time (as I was still busy putting the fresh bedding on) - of spicy salsa, guacemole and quesedillas filled with refried beans and cheddar - yum-o-yum-o-yum in my tum!

Looking forward now to fresh bedroom, fresh sheets and clean jammies for a prefect end to a busy day.
