Don't try to back a Wacker

Hired a whacker plate this weekend and initially made the mistake of trying to use it by pulling it up the slope of my drive. Problem is it weighs 'a ton' and also likes to propel itself forward. I thought it would get away from me going forward down the slope but it doesn't and so the initial half hour saw me bloody knackered before I saw the error of my ways.
