Son o'mine Stig (aka Owen) being a good sport for Scotland on St.Andrew's Day; patron saint of Ukraine, Russia, Romania, towns in Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal and of course the best saint never to have visited Scotland.

BTW, up to 2 million* striking in support of pension benefits based on a system which was briefly affordable 30 years ago, but fundamentally folks, who pays? The rich bankers we hear about have millions to raid when the revolution comes, but the final salary system for public sector workers needs over a trillion. Have a look at this for the stark reality that any government would face in paying for your benefits no matter which party is in power......Crisis? what crisis?

* many council workers joined the strike and normal services were disrupted, it was reported.....how would you know?
