what do we want?

i work with children who have been sexually violated.. i'm a skilled professional and i like to think i'm good at what i do.... as are all the dedicated women in my Team....how much are we worth?
i pay my taxes.. i pay into a pension scheme..i've not had a pay rise for ages and am not likely to get one in the near future..i don't get paid overtime even though i regularly work extra hours..not to mention the lengths i go to to rid myself of the working day....i'm expected to do this until I'm 67...
i can't earn a bonus for making children feel less damaged..
did i come into this line of work because of the working conditions?

you know what... it truly is a dirty job but someone HAS to do it and if that's me..then don't take the piss..


respect to all those public sector workers who serve our communities...

and to all the members of the public who stood on the streets of Manchester today and applauded our responsible action...
