Crossing the picket line

I work in the NHS. I'm sure that everyone knows about the public sector worker strike today. For anyone that doesn't, people all across the UK are striking today against government reforms to pensions.

This is part of the picket line at my office. I am not part of the union, nor can I afford to pay into a pension. So today I am a scab that crossed the picket line!

The strikers were all in good humour and I do admire them for taking a stand. They're doing this for everyone. One day I do hope to pay into a pension and so I'm sure it will affect me. I have promised to think about joining the union, but for now my report on endoscopy services won't write itself!
