Hectic

(in a series of limited blipping due to family circumstances)

A hectic shot on a hectic day.

After my dad's cremation we drove from Beverwijk to Amsterdam with 2 of my brother's and their significant others for a nice dinner at Amy's favorite Amsterdam restaurant, after which we drove back to Beverwijk, where the whole family got together again. This may have been the last time I was in the house I grew up in, because it will probably be sold by the next time I go to the Netherlands. After this nice get together, we went back to the hotel in Amsterdam to get ready for an early flight back to the US.

I took this picture shortly after dinner, while walking in the streets of Amsterdam. It's a crappy shot, because I was literally walking while taking it, but it does reflect the hectic day and the 3-hour visit to Amsterdam city center what we would call a "lightning visit" in the Netherlands.
