birthday girl

It's Nell's 1st birthday today. What an amazing year it's been, more happy times than I can remember having in any other year. She is literally a big, rolling bundle of happiness.
Here she is making her own cake. She's never had cake because of the naff diet so it's her first scoop of cake mix too. Her whole body was rigid with joy. She was pointing at the mix with one hand and shovelling it straight out of the tin with the other, then shouting on the inhale.
I think my vegan cake recipes are going to need some improvement though, but there is chocolatey hope.
