FAIRY TALE LAND

it looked very much so in the early morning. Thick fog clouds crept upon and along the hills. The trees and the roofs of the houses were all white, frost covered. The sun came over the top of the mountains, shone brightly for ten minutes and then disappeared for the whole day.
Mischa wanted to bake a cake and we needed a tin for it and some ingredients too. A good opportunity to make a walk also around the harbour. The many ducks came fying towards us and after a while we decided that they were hungry and the bakery nearby we went there and bought a loaf of bread, half price because it was from the morning, and we asked for some crumbs for the ducks. We were given a bag full of slices, enough for severeal days we thought.
Back to the ducks and in a minute they all came and ate happily and loud.
In the Weser there were more ducks and the couple of swans that eat now every day of the grasses in the meadow alongside.

My haiku:

Once upon a time
Each fairy tale begins
Am I aware of mine?

And the proverb of Chaucer:

Thou shalt make castles then in Spain,
And dream of joy, all but in vain.
