penny bun?

Its starting to get cold here and I'm not sure how long there'll be mushrooms around in the park. These have shot up on a stump (or they haven't shot up but I didn't notice them) and I was looking at them thinking they look amazingly like baked bread - maybe they're penny buns? Reading on a website the typical penny bun has a swollen stem which these don't ......... but the rest of their appearance seems right
