Salt Pig

Pigs I like, however, pork is not my favourite meat. Salt pigs I do like though. But it has (for me), to be an unglazed pig, as if the inside were glazed, I feel this would lead to salt clumping and you really don't want that when you're cooking:)

Apparently a pig, ceramically speaking, is an old Scottish definition of a jar or pot made of earthenware. Mine's a Jamie Oliver, but I expect very similar pigs are available with all sorts of other culinary branding attached.

This was taken on quite a long exposure with some hand-held lighting.
