So, 20 years ago to this very day I went to a gig. Nowt unusual about that, I went to a lot more gigs in those days than I do now. The band were getting a lot of publicity for their album that was out at the time and I'd liked their music since their debut, a couple of years previous. And the gig itself was pretty good I remember, but nothing that would lead you to believe these would turn out to be one of the most influential bands of their time and their lead singer become something of a (reluctant) spokesman for a generation. Anyway, here's my ticket from the night.
