The Baddeck River

I decided to take the day and do something other than work at my computer, in the studio or anywhere else in the house....and with the knowledge that the next 6-7 days are going to be pretty busy - without much chance for just doing some lollygaggin' - off i went!!

First off....brunch at the Bean There....and then some chores in town, i needed to get a few more banana boxes to pack the pots in for this weekend.

But then i headed off toward Whycocomagh, about 1/2 hour away! There is a used bookstore out that way, we've passed it many times, so i decided that today i was going to hang out and spend some leisurely time choosing books! Came away with a rich collection of reading material for the long dark winter here at Big Hill - 8 books for $24!!!!

There are many interesting places to stop and take photographs and i enjoyed checking out under the bridges and down by the water. But i liked this shot the best....took it standing on the bridge with a very narrow space between me, the railing and the big trucks that went hurtling by....a rather nerve wracking experience!

Home now, and still time to continue lollygaggin'.....here on blip!!
