Butter paws

Thanks to some advice from tonybrown yesterday, today I found myself going to the old house to capture Titchy cat, bringing her to our new garden and then smearing her paws with butter before letting her go. I was warned that this was the "old grannies theory", but thought there was no harm in giving it a shot. She did appear to like the butter - she licked the most of it off, had her biscuits and then licked off the rest. She then went off, but then returned about 15 minutes later for some more food, which is definitely progress. Then she ran off, and hopefully will get safely back to the old house (no matter how many times she makes it back, I still worry). I'm thinking I might try shutting her in the house again, and then doing the butter paws thing when I let her out after a week.
